Before we go to far, I want to take a moment to say that not all meditation has to be sitting in a quiet room with your legs crossed, and your eyes closed. Some meditations are like that yes. When you get down to it though, meditation can be anything that brings you clarity, and leaves you feeling filled with a sense of peace and wholeness. Perhaps while drawing you had some deep insight that changed your perspective on life? That feeling you had in that moment of artistic bliss, was you meditating in a way that worked for you. Sometimes music is the key. Sometimes it's crafting, or walks in nature. Find the thing that works for you and go with it. The examples that follow are exactly that, examples. If they work for you, use them for sure. If they are close to what you want but maybe you want to change a few things, that's ok too. Do what works for you, to bring you into harmony with yourself.
Showers to Waterfalls
I do this every time I take a shower and it works awesome!
Adjust the water to a comfortable temperature for yourself. Not to hot or cold, but relaxing and soothing. Close your eyes (if doing this makes you uncomfortable, you can try sitting instead), as you step back into the water. When you are at a point that the water is rushing over your body comfortably, stand with your feet slightly apart to give yourself a little more stability. As the water comes splashing down on you, see yourself in a waterfall of clean crystalline water, tucked away hidden and safe in a forest. Smell the warm soothing air filling your lungs with gratitude and compassion. Feel the water as it comes gently caressing your body and washing away any stresses, worries, fears, illnesses, or any other form of negativity you might be carrying. Allow for the water to leave in place of the negativity, a sense of balance and renewed purpose. Feel yourself healing, and being healed. Take as long as you want to do this.
You can be as specific or as vague as you wish with your details. Get lost in the feeling if you have the time for it. The more focus you give this, the more effective it seems to be.

Quick and Simple Grounding
Close your eyes... Take a long deep breath in and see yourself being filled with cleansing healing energies. These energies (maybe they come to you as a feeling, perhaps they come to you as colors and lights) flow through your entire body, cleansing and balancing as they go through you. They start at your head and weave down through your body transmuting any negative energies you might be holding into healing and love. The energy flows out through your feet into the Earth not only grounding and connecting you to Earth but also healing Earth as the energy connects from you and flows into Earth

For Protection From Unwanted Energies
I have used this one many many times and find it to be the easiest and quickest method of protection, which is great when you are at the store and feeling overwhelmed by the amount of energy from the people, and spirits. I have found that I can use this technique to protect myself, my home, my family, and even friends or family that are far away from me. In short, this is quick, simple, and really really effective. I often recommend this one to anyone just starting magic work, meditation, energy work, just finding their spiritual gifts... really anyone who needs a little protection from unwanted energies, and grounding.
Imagine yourself, your home, your child, spouse or what/who ever is in need of protection being surrounded by three rings of light. You can use your choice of color combination depending on your own personal needs of course. I use Blue for patience, tranquility and healing, Purple for power, psychic growth, and wisdom, and White for cleansing, purification, balance and understanding. I see these rings completely surrounding that which is in need of protection and I either think to myself or say out loud the following:
"Thrice around this circle is bound, transmute to love all darkness found"

Karma Cleansing Meditation
Benefits:
* Helps you keep track of positive and negative actions
* Purifies negative actions
* Rejuvenates your meditation practice
It is an inevitable reality of being a human to generate Karma every day, and we do so. For example, you have hurt a friend with strong words, you toke money that it did not belong to you, you have told some one a "White Lie". Those negative actions even insignificant or more serious, produce negative karma that sooner or later will come back in to your life, saying this karma needs to be cleared and got to a process of purification on daily basis.
When to do this Meditation:
This meditation is best to do in the end of your day just before you got to bed, and do it as much as possible, every day if you can.
How to prepare for the Meditation:
Review your day and if you see something that was done that was not acceptable on your side be true to yourself and first of all apologize to the person/persons in question after that start your meditation to clear the negative energy attached to the situation.
How to do the Meditation:
1. Breath deeply 5 times and relax. Think of the negative actions you have committed and anyone you have may hurt in the process, directly and indirectly. Consider the most insignificant act to most serious one. Start generating feelings of compassion for those you have harmed. Be true to yourself!
2. Generate a sincere feeling of regret. See it as an experience that you had to live to learn and to grow. Simple realize that your negative actions were very unwise for yourself and others.
3. Tell yourself that you will do your up most to change your actions and behaviors and give yourself some specific time to change it and really make an effort to avoid repeating it.
4. Now commit yourself to do something positive in the life's of the one's you just cleared the karmic negative from this way it will serve and an antidote for your negativity. Do something positive to balance it out.
5. After you have completed the Karma cleansing end your meditation affirming that you have purified your negativity for the past day.
P.S. you can also do this to clear matters long on your past, with family, friends, etc....

Eda's Meditations
You first start by- placing a pyramid of protection around you-much like a force field and ask to allow only the highest loving energies for your good to enter. Pick a quiet room in your house, light a candle, or put on soft music... There are countless beautiful meditating music to chose from on the internet. Then you sit still with your back straight , feet on the floor-no shoes... hands -palms up... The hands facing up to the divine, feet placed on the floor to mother earth. The breathing is slow, deep and with each inhale you imagine a flood of white iridescent light entering your crown (top of head), through your body and on the exhale you puff out the negativity- pains, thoughts, imagine on that... Exhale is out through your heart chakra, releasing it into the universe- where it is transmuted into loving energy to help heal the Earth. Again breath in the loving iridescent white light and this time push it down to your feet and then back up- exhale it out of your heart chakra- sending it into the universe... transmuting it into loving energy- to heal the earth. On the third breath inhale and feel the tingle of your head forehead, arms, body, legs... the divine white light energy dancing , twirling, loving your organs, blood, DNA, cells- peacefully relaxing and calming all the chatter and releasing all the tension on the exhale. ask for your angels to appear and offer you messages to help you in your dream state. each breath gets you closer to quieting the mind, body, and allowing the love to pour in- to circulate and love you and thank the process... repeat the breathing steps... slow -even rhythm, pleasant breathing.... comfortable, protected, grounded...
