Spooky Cat Trio #2 Crochet Pattern, Downloadable PDF
This is NOT a physical item!!!
This is for the downloadable PDF crochet pattern for the Spooky Cat Trio #2. You will get:
- Spooky Calico Cat with Spider
- Spooky Tuxedo Cat with Candy Corn
- Spooky Coffee Cat with Broom
Yes all 3!!! And yes, all three are neatly organized into one easy to read and follow crochet pattern, NOT 3 separate downloads. Just one.
This pattern is in US terminology.
You will get 30 pages of instructions with color pictures to conjure your very own Spooky Calico Cat with Spider, Spooky Tuxedo Cat with Candy Corn, and Spooky Coffee Cat with Broom. But that's not all!!! Even with the bodily differences, the toys and attachable parts are all interchangeable making even more options that just the three presented. This includes all 3 hats, all 3 toys, and both cat bodies!
Finished product will be your very own witch hat wearing Spooky Calico Cat with Spider, Spooky Tuxedo Cat with Candy Corn, and Spooky Coffee Cat with Broom, though they are really more cute than they are spooky.
Measures about 6 inches tall (hat included), by about 5 inches wide at its widest point (front to back while holding it's toy).
You will run into terms like:
- mc = magic circle
- sl st = slip stitch
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- dec = decrease
- inc = increase
- hdc = half double crochet
- dc = double crochet
- FLO = front loop only
- BLO = back loop only
- F/O = fasten off
- Picot = ch 2 and sl st in the 2nd ch from the hook (so the first ch)
Materials
- 4.0 mm crochet hook
- 10 mm Safety eyes (stout cat, optional)
- 18 mm Safety eyes (large cat, optional)
- Yarn, at least 1-2 colors. 1 color for the cat, and at least 1 color for the accessories, depending on the accessory you're making. Some cats and toys may need more than just one color. I used Red Heart yarn for all my kitties and their toys. You don't have to use this specific brand, but that is what the pattern is sized for.
- Beads (optional), I used day-glow baby pony beads. You can use whatever you have on hand. Smaller beads you will have to sew on separately. Pony beads are the best fit I have found for crocheting with so far.
Notes
There is sewing in this pattern to attach ears, arms, paws, tail, hat, and cat's toy. In some cases, some of the toys may need assembly as well. It's small amounts of sewing (amount of space to be sewn wise), but it happens frequently.
You will come across sc 4 in mc. If this is challenging for you, try starting a row or so down where the hat would be at least 1 sc larger in the circle. (So start at round 2 instead of 1).
Contact information is included should you have any questions, or want to tag me in your own finished products.
Again, this is for a downloadable crochet pattern for a single Spooky Calico Cat with Spider, Spooky Tuxedo Cat with Candy Corn, and Spooky Coffee Cat with Broom, not for a finished product.
